CRP Racing, the company constructor electric-powered motor vehicles of Italian origin that stood since 2006 introduced a new electric motor that is eCRP 1.4. Two-wheeled vehicle is claimed as the first electric motor made in Italy.
As quoted from TG Daily, Tuesday, April 19, 2011, this bike has a very light weight which is only 350 pounds, or about 158 pounds. For power, the motor is powered by a lithium-polymer battery module is 7.4 kWh and dual DC motor.
The electric motor that can reach speeds of 60 miles / hour (about 96.5 km / h) in 3.2 seconds. The maximum speed reached 136 miles / hour or approximately 218 kilometers / hour.
Motor is also equipped with a data recording system that can record information on the front and rear suspension and the gas valve, measure the voltage going in and out of the controller, as well as monitor the temperature of the vehicle concerned.
The data recorded will then be combined with GPS facility to record the velocity and acceleration directly. This allows racing teams to make a better race strategy.
Despite already being produced, CRP Racing provides only eCRP 1.4 for rent and for racing needs. The rent starts from U.S. $ 7,200 once a race that generally lasts for 3 days.
