Former Honda's sole agent in India did have a subsidiary that manufactures electric motors. His name is Hero Electric. No half-hearted, a market that is currently being targeted is North America and Europe.
Recently introduced a Hero Electric Zion and Optima Plus is an electric scooter products (skutrik) them at the Toronto International Spring Motorcycle Show. Both scooters have been tested and developed over two years to be accepted in Europe and North America.
To develop Zion and Optima Plus, Hero is not alone. Indian Motorcycle Company is working with Electrovaya for battery supplier. This power storage tech Electrovaya's lithium-ion Super Polymer is more durable and environmentally friendly than lead acid batteries usual.
They are targeting to sell Zion and Optima Plus in Canada before the end of 2011. For starters, Hero Electric will sell products skutriknya in the Toronto area. Then extended to the rest of Canada. If successful, it is quite possible Hero Electric to expand its expansion into America.
